1. What is a spotlight?
Spotlights are typical modern lighting styles without main lights and fixed scales. They can create indoor lighting atmospheres. If a row of small spotlights are combined, the light can change into wonderful patterns. Since small spotlights can change angles freely, the lighting effect can be combined; the spotlights are also ever-changing and soft, and they can also provide local lighting to create an atmosphere.
2. Classification of spotlights
There are two main types of spotlights: embedded spotlights and surface-mounted spotlights.
Embedded spotlights are installed inside the ceiling, flush with the ceiling surface, which helps to maintain the overall simplicity and integration of the space, and will not occupy space abruptly. They are suitable for environments that pursue minimalism or high-end design styles.
Surface-mounted spotlights are easy to install: there is no need to make holes in the ceiling, and they can be installed directly on the surface, which is especially suitable for lighting needs that are added or temporarily modified later. Convenient maintenance: It is easy to operate when replacing lamps, and there is no need to destroy the original decoration structure.
3. Color temperature:
Common color temperatures include 3000K, 4000K, 6000K, etc. In home decoration, the warmer the light color, the lower the K, and the colder and whiter the light color, the higher the K. We can choose the color temperature according to the function of the room.
For example, the living room and dining room can choose warm tones of 3000K-4000K, the bedroom can choose warm tones of 2700K-3000K, and the study can choose cool tones of 5000K-6000K.
4. Color rendering index:
The color rendering index (CRI) refers to the degree of color restoration of the light source to the color of the object. In home decoration, it is recommended to choose spotlights with a color rendering index greater than 80, so that the home colors can be more real and bright.
5. Beam angle selection:
★15° beam angle:
Strong central focusing, used for focal lighting, such as small-volume decorations or crafts, etc.
★24° beam angle:
The central light is soft, which can form a clearer hill: used for key lighting, such as coffee tables and dining tables, etc.
★36° beam angle:
The central light is soft, forming a large light arc with more uniform light output: suitable for wall washing, passage entrance, etc.
★45°~60° beam angle:
The light output is relatively wide, rarely used for wall washing, and can be used for aisles, balconies, etc. as basic lighting
use.
